The EM Normandie Incubator, a springboard for students and graduates setting up their own businesses
At EM Normandie, students are trained and highly aware of entrepreneurship. They can take advantage of a wide range of support opportunities, notably through the EM Startupper project and the student incubator, which offers a comprehensive, tailor-made and committed service.
Among EM Normandie’s many assets, the EM Startupper project is the most popular with post-baccalaureate applicants. This 3-month program introduces all first-year post-baccalaureate students in Caen, Paris, Oxford and Dublin (starting in September 2023) to the first steps of entrepreneurship, and identifies and supports those wishing to launch a project.
The winning project receives support from the EM Normandie incubator, as well as the production of a promotional video and a communication campaign.
EM Normandie has been running its own incubator for almost 10 years. It is now reinventing itself to support not only students, but also graduates of the school, which community includes 10% of entrepreneurs. To date, the incubator has supported more than 300 student business start-up projects.
In 2023, the EM Normandie incubator will :
- Initiated 2 calls for projects,
- Received 122 applications,
- Supported 65 projects, representing 87 students, 37% of whom were women,
- Monitored 50% of projects from Paris and 50% from Normandy (Caen and Le Havre),
- Supported over 20% of impact projects.
