Morocco earthquake: EM Normandie Business School solidarity operation

Dear members of the EM Normandie Business School community,

We are all deeply affected by the powerful earthquake that hit Morocco on Friday night. We are particularly affected as many Moroccans are in our community: students, graduates, colleagues, and Moroccan partners. There, we felt it was essential to keep you informed of the measures taken by the School since the announcement of this tragedy.

Our mobilisation mechanisms were immediately activated, as is customary in such a situation. An internal unit has been set up at the School and all students expatriated in Morocco have been contacted. All the students who have already started their course in Morocco are doing well. The mobilised teams have also contacted those who will be starting their expatriation to Morocco in the coming weeks. To guide them, we are following the guidelines issued by the Quai d’Orsay, which are regularly updated on the France Diplomatie website to provide up-to-date advice to students. For the time being, there are no plans to postpone travels. Departures are being maintained, but it is advisable to take all necessary precautions, such as avoiding areas affected by the earthquake.

This disaster reminds us that it is essential to register with Ariane before any international departures.

We are also working to support Moroccan students currently studying on EM Normandie Business School campuses.

For those of you affected by this situation, if you need to discuss about it, please contact the Equilibre et Inclusion department. We remind you that psychological and social assistance is available at EM Normandie Business School.

Finally, the crisis and support unit at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris is also available by phone: +33 1 43 17 51 00 / + 212 537 689 900.

You can contact the campus directors, who will centralise all your solidarity initiatives.

We would like to express our full support to the entire Moroccan community at EM Normandie Business School.

Yours sincerely.
