2024 Olympics: EM Normandie students launch the first EM Games

The Student Federation and the Sports Offices of EM Normandie’s Caen, Paris, Le Havre, Dublin and Oxford campuses are organising the first edition of the EM Games, a major sports weekend to be held near Bordeaux from 23 to 25 March.

Ahead of the PARIS 2024 Olympic Games, the EM Games is an inter-campus tournament organised for the first time by the Student Federation in collaboration with the Sports Offices (BDS) of EM Normandie’s Caen, Paris, Le Havre, Dublin and Oxford campuses.

This ambitious project, which will bring together more than 400 students, athletes, cheerleaders and supporters, is in line with the Federation office’s desire to bring together the school’s students, whatever their campus, year or course of study, around federative sporting and festive events. Various disciplines will be showcased, including basketball, football, tennis, rugby and volleyball, with trophies awarded at the end of the event.

The EM Games will be held at the 4* Lou Broustaricq campsite near Bordeaux, in a setting conducive to competition and celebration. Throughout the weekend, sports tournaments and activities such as bumper cars, a colour party and a foam party will enable students to express their shared passion for sport, encouraged by cheerleaders and supporters, and to strengthen their bonds. Participants will be supervised by a team of students trained to ensure everyone’s safety.

Committed to sustainable development and CSR, the organisers are implementing environmentally-friendly practices such as efficient waste management, the use of renewable energy and limiting the use of non-durable materials. This inter-campus initiative is also part of a positive approach that promotes inclusion, diversitý and the strengthening of community ties.
